About Physio First

Physio First is the trade association for chartered physiotherapists in private practice and a dynamic and professional network of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. We welcome members from all specialities of phsyiotherapy across the UK who are looking for business and clinical connection and support within a community of like-minded colleagues.

Physio First is an organisation run by our members for the benefit and support of our members. We all understand the particular challenges that physios working in private practice face.

Our team is made up of our elected Physio First executive committee who themselves are mostly private physiotherapists and are supported by fellow volunteer members, our dedicated employed admin team, and commissioned professional advisors who all proactively work to deliver our vision to work with our members to champion evidenced, value-based private physiostherapy in the healthcare marketplace.

We are proud of our network of volunteer Community Representatives whose role it is to liaise closely with our executive committee and our Physio First members to ensure effective, two-way information-sharing.

As a clinical interest group of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), we are formally recognised by the Council of the CSP as representing self-employed physiotherapists and those who work for them in private practice.

We are functional and well-structured, and use planning and capacity management tools and systems which includes our sophisticated Membership Relationship Management (MRM) system.
